4am Project… Part III
The day before my third go-‘round with the 4am Projcect, I had a really good idea of what I wanted to do. It wasn’t going to be easy and it was going to be a decent drive to get there, but the idea was definitely worth it. My alarm was set for three in the morning and my things were sitting in front of the door, ready to go. All I would have to do is wake up, brush my teeth and leave the house. Unfortunately, I had been fighting a cold and when I woke up, it appeared the cold had finally won the battle. No long drive. No perfect idea. But, that didn’t mean no 4am Project.
Around 3:45am, I grabbed my things and left the house, hoping to capture something at least remotely interesting in this typically boring area of the penis state. (No joke, for anyone who hasn’t been to Doral, Florida, the only thing you’re missing out on is chain restaurants. That’s it. I’ve gained at least 15 pounds in the 10 months that I’ve been living here, because the only thing to do is eat.) So, my camera and I took a scenic drive around the city, saw a few interesting things and snapped some photos.
Could my shots have been a little better? Yes. Could I have been more creative? Probably. Am I disappointed? Yea, I little bit. But, was I more concerned with getting back home and sleeping until the afternoon? Absolutely.
Usually, I put up a handful of shots from the night. This time around, I only managed to come up with two. After all, there are only so many restaurants you can take pictures of in the middle of the night.
